The need for short-term rehabilitation can happen in an instant. In addition to providing long-term care, The Davis Community is the ideal place for both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. We specialize in helping aging adults recover from hip fractures, knee replacements, or other short-term disabilities. Our medical and therapy teams will have you on the mend as soon as possible and our social work, recreation, housekeeping and dietary staff will make your temporary stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Outpatient services are currently being offered in the Physicians Group building. Whether you need private speech therapy services or physical therapy sessions, the treatment rooms offer privacy and optimum comfort. To schedule an outpatient therapy appointment call 910-686-5614.
In addition to the current therapy services, The Davis Community is proud to announce the construction of the new 20-bed Rehabilitation and Wellness Pavilion. The facility will open in October, 2010 and includes 20 private patient rooms, elegant dining, wireless Internet services, inpatient and outpatient therapy gyms and an aquatics center. Outdoor courtyards feature areas for recreation and family visits as well as therapy treatments. For the golf enthusiast, the putting green will be a welcomed treatment option.
One of the goals of The Davis Community is to keep aging seniors healthy and strong. The new Rehabilitation and Wellness Pavilion also houses the Joseph and Elsa Flower Davies Wellness Center. The Wellness Center will focus on senior health and education and features the SPA Living Program (Seniors Pursuing Active Living).
Memberships for the Wellness Center can be obtained by calling 566-1200. You will meet with the Wellness Coordinator, Joseph Rouse, to assess your individual needs. Early Bird pricing is available until August 31, 2010.
